¡Graduation!

After the fear and great news, after having my recent seizure, I once again have the reason to celebrate! Yesterday, April 29, I was a part of the 109 graduating class from Goshen College. My major is Social Work and I plan on finding a job with this major over the summer. But, before I start this job, I will be an Assistant Program Director at Crooked Creek Christian Camp. I am really looking forward to this experience as I have been involved with this camp for many summers since fourth grade.

While I am looking forward to being back in Iowa and working at CCCC, I will also miss hanging out with my Goshen friends and my roommate Will. I have developed a number of great relationships this past school year that I am not looking forward to leaving be hind. It will be hard as I will not be able to spend as much time with many of my friends who are not leaving Goshen. But, as my Mom has told me, while it is always fun to create relationships, there are often challenges when our situations change. So as I leave Goshen, I am both excited and saddened.

It almost seems that when good events come into our lives, it can cause a number of challenges to face as well. We just need to remember to stay connected to God so that our changes can come out to be a blessing to all those around us.

With peace, sorrow, and joy
Nathan

P.S. I wrote this after my graduation and I am now working at CCCC as an assistant program director and it is going well.
